Honeychop Calm & Shine

Honeychop Calm & Shine is a blend of high fibre oat straw, dried grass, marigold, nettle, mint, camomile and oil.  An excellent fibre choice if your horse or pony is a little excitable or if you just want great condition and ease of riding.

Honeychop Calm & Shine is low in sugar and starch, providing a slow release of limited controlled energy from high quality, digestible fibre and oil based ingredients, making it an excellent feed for horse and ponies that are easily excited. Our carefully selected blend of herbs in Honeychop Calm & Shine will make your horse, or pony shine from the inside out.

Marigolds are known to contain antioxidants, which help against digestive inflammation. They are a rich source of vitamins A and C and are high in oil. This means that not only will your horse, or pony benefit from external coat shine, but they will also receive internal benefits from these little yellow flowers.

Camomile soothes the nervous system and helps horses or ponies to relax and sleep better. It is great at soothing an upset stomach by helping to relax the muscle and lining of the intestines. Camomile can help with poor digestion and can calm muscle spasms. It induces a calming effect which helps relieve stress, tension and settles nerves. Camomile is not only great at calming, but it also has antibacterial properties that can help protect against bacterial related illness or infection. It also promotes a healthy coat with its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, and can help in clearing up skin irritations and allergies

Nettle is one of the most naturally beneficial herbs, containing protein, calcium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium, beta-carotene, along with vitamins A,C,D and B complex. This means nettle helps promote coat shine and has calming properties.

Mint is germicidal and a breath freshener. It takes care of oral health by inhibiting harmful bacterial growth inside the mouth by cleaning the tongue and teeth. Mint is a good digestive aid and an excellent appetiser making it very appealing to fussy feeders.

The inclusion of oil helps horses and ponies maintain strong hooves, glossy coats and better all-round condition. It is a great source of natural Omega 3 and an important aid to digestion. It is also known to have beneficial effects for horses with stiff joints.

Dried Grass is high in quality protein, which is great for muscle development and helps with overall condition.

Honeychop Calm & Shine also contains limestone flour which is a calcium supplement for horses and vital for healthy growth, strong bones, teeth and hooves.

We only use sun dried oat straw and never desiccate our crops.

  • Added herbs and oil for show shine condition
  • With camomile and nettle for calming
  • Low sugar short chop

Hi I am going too put my tb on this as my friend has recommended it and I did not realise that the supplements I feed him are in your calm and shine so it’s a win win for us

My KWPN advanced dressage horse has suffered with hind gut issues for the last 5 years, after exhausting all veterinary options, i sought the advice of a nutritionist, who recommended this chaff, the Alfalfa is the cause of his tummy problems, now we have completely stripped it from his diet he is like a completely different horse, thoroughly pleased with honeychop wish i knew about this feed ages ago it has been a total game changer!!

After a friend recommended this product, I sent away for a sample, of which when it arrived I was very surprised at the size and swiffness that it came, I introduced it to my native pony who has since passed away, he absolutely loved it more than his more expensive native feed, after 3wks I could see the difference in him, calm and a lovely shiny coat. I’ve now given a forever home to 3 rescue ponies and I’m definitely going to introduce Honeychop to them.

I have my very fiesty 20 year old mare on this feed.
Since being on it she has been a lot calmer, she is still very forward going but now in a controlled way.
Her coat is great with a fantastic shine to it and she is keeping her weight on with less feed, and her itchy skin has calmed down.
Highly recommend this feed.

Very happy to find a chaff without alfalfa that I can safely feed to my PSSM horse. I now feed it to all 3 of my horses and they love it.

The difference in my horse is amazing, shes been on this now for around 6 months, her coat is amazing everyone comments on how nice her coat is, shes so much calmer too, people used to says we are not hacking out with her! now they ask to come out with us because shes chilled happy horse! also no alfalfa which caused lots of itchy problems and sore white legs in previous feeds, this is one of the only products without it in happy owner would not feed anything else,
