My 29yo American Quarter Horse loves this Super Senior Honey Chop, partly because of the flavours and partly because it’s kind to his very elderly teeth. He’s still enjoying gently hacking out twice a week and, when I let him, still has an amazing turn of speed. He hates all other ‘fluffy / chop’, but loves this one especially, as it goes really well with a soaked pelleted feed.
We are so pleased to be feeding our horses on Honeychop blends. We were feeding grass and alfalfa chops to the horses and the quality varied so much and often the horses weren’t keen to finish their feeds. We have never had any such issues with Honeychop blends. All the horses love them and would eat them out the sack if they could.
Our two oldies have Super Senior which they love. It also is full of herbs and added glucosamine which definitely helps with their mobility and its very easy for them to chew. I am so happy we found Honeychop!
Love this chaff, my old girl can be fussy with chaff but not this one, will even eat it by its self before a ride. Will keep her on this now.
What an amazing product, another fantastic feed from Honeychop! My oldie has been on this feed now since November, he no longer itches, his skin and coat has improved and he looks fantastic! His condition is amazing, highly recommend to anyone with an older horse.
This chaff has been an absolute game changer for my 14yr old poor doer TB that has lived out all winter. I have fed it alongside his conditioning mash and although he can be fussy with chaff he but would happily eat this on it’s own. It smells so fresh and delicious and is excellent value for money.
I have been struggling to feed my25 year old horse this winter as he has a lack of teeth and fecal water syndrome and can’t manage hay. I feed this with Speedibeet and so far he is loving it and also hasn’t upset his tummy. Like a previous review he’s not keen on garlic so am really pleased to have found Super Senior.
I’ve switched to this from a lower sugar chop as my 24 year old has been dropping weight. Finding something that suits her (she can’t have alfalfa, which is in almost everything, and doesn’t like some herbs or spices, e.g. cinnamon). But she LOVES this! I’m feeding it mixed with her soaked grass nuts and she’s currently getting three meals a day.
I’ve tried Honeychop Super Senior for the first time, fed to my 17 year old Dartmoor EMS pony and his 12 year old Dales Pony friend. They have previously been unimpressed with other brands of unmolassed forage feeds, and they are not fans of garlic flavouring.
I was surprised and delighted that Honeychop Super Senior was an instant success! They love it, bowls are thoroughly licked clean, it obviously tastes delicious!
